History of Papakura Cricket Club

Papakura Cricket Club has a long history within the South Auckland community.
The club you see today has gone through multiple iterations, and has been based at a variety of venues throughout the Papakura District.

The first incarnation of Papakura Cricket Club was back in 1871. The club only lasted a short while before disappearing, only to reappear again in 1874. Since then, the club has appeared and disappeared numerous times, including one season during 1948.
In September 1959 Papakura Cricket Club reformed, and is currently what you see to this day.

Over the years Papakura Cricket Club has called multiple venues home. This includes a field behind the Jolly Farmer in Drury, the village green where the Papakura Local Board offices are (Corner of East St & Queen St), and even at Prince Edward Park.
The club then shifted to McLennan Park where it was based for many years, until shifting before the 2012/2013 season to our current home at Bruce Pulman Park.
